So it's been just over 2 months now I think, I was wondering if chapter 58 is out yet or if theres been any news about break of hiatus?

The Manga isn't on Hiatus , it's still running perfectly fine , with Volume 9 (Who goes up to Chapter 72) released 4 months ago. (Volume 10 is set to be released in May 2023)
I couldn't find the latest Chapter released , i guess it's around the 80.
So i take that you are talking about the English fan-translation , which is still at Chapter 57.
The team release around 2 Chapters each months on MangaDex , even if they released nothing in February.
They seems to not be many in the team , so they can't be faster than that. (They are recruiting in typesetting & redraws , if you are interested)

Ahhh okay, thankyou! I completely forgot about MangaDex for a hot minute ngl, and yeah I'm on about the English fan-translation ^^ Times like this I wish my small brain could learn another language.
As for them recruiting, sadly I don't have much time to take on other projects/hobbies otherwise I would've gladly helped 😓

f*ck, I have these type of thing. These things make me loose intrest in story because of the long gaps. I was hyped up for the latest chapter and now all the hype and emotional attachment to the characters is gone. Sometimes I think I should learn Japanese so that I don't have to wait to wait for mangas and hmangas translations but I have studies too 😩
that is the exact reason why I'll never start reading/watching any manga/LN/anime if it is not completed yet again.

58 came out 3 days ago, adding the time it takes to translate it I assume 1-2 more weeks to decent translation from The Abandoned

I saw a vietnamese translation of chapter 58 already on mangadex like 3 days ago lol
They're fast! Sadly good English translation takes longer. There's a person Buubu-ijou that makes fast auto translation but it's bad to be honest.
